Hungry Horace seemed to disappear altogether, but perhaps not, this doesn’t look new but it’s certainly not as old as his other stuff, the plot thickens….
I had thought I’d be out and about over the christmas period, but due to the seaonal weather and over indulgence I haven’t got very far at all, bring on the spring, or at least some dry weather!I do have a strange fondness for this place, it was one of my very first explores, it had more walls and roofs and even windows then! But I do think it’s on borrowed time now as it is slowly but surely falling down, I’ll be surprised if it lasts another year.Surge and Britney, did it again, reclaiming a favourite spot.Simple but effective, and slightly disturbing.Mr Hastes’ monkey seems to have escaped 🙂Corpse, surely one of the most photographed pieces in Sheffield over the last few days, love it!Stickers! Featuring C3, D7606, Greenz, SSSOVA, VoxRomana and others.Mila K,Acid Junkies, took this after it had snowed and the sun was shining, it was literally blinding. Not sure who did the piece on the left, but Dyson in the middle and Teml(?)I like this, a commissioned piece #colourbritain sponsored by Dulux.Coloquix has an exhibition on at the Forum, go see it if you can. I went to the opening night, cue another hangover! 😉The skatepark is going through a popular phase at the moment, practically changing every week. Riseone and Rast, I may have seen Riseone painting this, but it probably wasn’t him… This is an art space, a space for art, the shutter apparently however, is not….
Got to practice my mountaineering skills to view this wonderful creation by Foundry.Found this little lady by Coloquix hiding out in pigeon land too.And this death defying, but only just, piece by Brisk was near the summit.Reverse graffiti at it’s very best, I do love it when a cover up only reinforces what it’s meant to cover up!YMYD, very busy body at the moment, still not sure whether it’s Gun House or Bun House… but I’d choose death by bun any day 🙂 Rise One quality.Dyson, feeling the rainbow, well most of it.The Funky Mind Benders, in your face! 🙂JD really love this style.‘Your brain is a terrible thing to waste’ – Cantastic Art.Lollipops, interesting collab between C3 and D7606.Haven’t seen this little fellow about for a while, Xhastexo.Peachzz and Teddy BN7, cracking piece in a great location.Tulip by Dala, sometimes something so simple can look so effective.Kent has been the target of a dogging campaign recently, at least this one is untouched. Not a new one I think, but only just spotted this little Eug.Spotted this too, don’t know who it’s by though. As some of you will know, work has begun on the former Gatecrasher site, hopefully we won’t lose the boards just yet.
Well my internet’s still buggered, should be back to normal soon. Good job the weather’s been so lousy I haven’t been out much.
Oh and just in case you were wondering, I have it on good authority that Felm is the correct pronunciation of Phlegm… so now you know! 😉
After 2 weekends lurking in Birmingham and a broadband connection that keeps feeling nostalgic and replicating the golden age of dial up internet, I find I’ve got a bit of a backlog. So this is a larger than normal Sheffield post while I try to get back on track.
Stickers, some people hate them, I love them, especially when there’s little collections of them, this set includes D7606, C3, Rubix, Zabou and Greenz.Brayk, a man of many words. Double Meth, twice the fun!Byne, been a bit quiet lately, working on a new project perhaps.Like this, don’t know who it is though.Part of the wonderful Rocket01 and Mila K collaboration piece. Ghostpatrol with a stunning wall in the Northern Quarter.D7606, quite near to his home territory I think, mind you he gets about.5ifur, perhaps.Strange graffiti, not that unusual 😉Tirion Lannister by Akse P19. I don’t often feature an artist twice in one blog post, but this is fantastic and it is such a shame that many of his characters have been dogged. Spotted in a carpark.Boeuf!Cool sticker/ pasteup.Don’ Sleep, by Sneak, good to see him back on it.Tankpetrol, beautiful.Another favourite from the Northern Quarter.Tony Wilson, founder of the Hacienda, immortalised by Stewy. Only found this because I got lost, wouldn’t be a day out if I didn’t get lost at least once.
Had a really good day which only the weather could spoil, and it did, my little dog nearly disappeared in a puddle and was seriously not happy. Had to share my Burgerking with her to cheer her up.
Paid a brief visit to Peace in the Park, met up with a few friends who were having a very good time! CoLor Meth and Mila K found time to have a paint while they were there and I think the posing peoples were in a band,Spotted a few of these about, don’t know who did them.Eug with one of his awesome characters.Stewy paid us a visit to drop this stencil featuring Jarvis Cocker, one of several different characters he’s done in various locations on the route of the Tour de France.Lovely tribute piece to the late Patrick Moore by Rocket01.Kosh and…., I’m not guessing…I don’t know who did this either, but I do think it’s quite sweet.Venom, by Mace, superbly gruesome.Jiro?Angry Kitty (not it’s real name) by Mila K.Rambo and Nofx doing what they do best.Pretty lady by Black.C3 pasteup being reclaimed by nature.Don’t know who but much like.Love this too.I love my graff and I’m constantly amazed at the quality of work produced in this city, but I don’t often go wow! anymore, I did when I first saw this. I do have a bit of a soft spot for anything Batman related, but this is truly special.
On my travels found this beauty by C3, looks like she’s becoming a regular visitor to Sheffield, all good 🙂Something fishy about this Coloquix piece, not a cat in sight.Funny what you can find when you fall through a doorway, not sure how old this Sour x Narke collab is, but I wouldn’t have found it otherwise!I do like these cheeky chimps by Xhastexo, he’s got quite a collection I think.Sico trying something a little different, I’m a fan!I’m really loving these new characters from Eug, can’t believe some numpty dogged it within a week…Big Mouth by Rateone, I’ve seen a photo of a piece he did out of Sheffield where he made use of a doorway in a similar fashion, so glad he’s done one here.Greenz and Brisk, gloriously green!NOFX x Dyson, The Deadly Type, quality. After a short sabbatical, Gzos has risen again. Praise be!Recreating one of the prints from his recent exhibition, Kid Acnes’ Ping Pong Girls.
Mustn’t grumble about a day out for £4, always lots to see, but it would be nice if they had toilets and perhaps a mini bar on the tram…
Don’t know the name of this artist, but I know he’s got a beard, if that helps…Brisk, appropriate name, he’s all over the place at the moment, very brisk indeed. Health and Safety advice, ‘Try not to face plant’ !The legend that is Form been back around these parts recently.Enoesir or Riseone if you prefer.Rocket01, back with a bang, really good to see that he reclaimed this spot too after his previous piece was unceremoniously destroyed with a chainsaw.Bob with his little red devil, don’t know if the other character has a name.Trik9 and Meth got the moody blues in town, love it.C3 /D7606 pasteup collaboration in a rather random place.Evo and Mars H2i, BS production, strong with the force these ones are.Anyone who didn’t make it to the Mardy Arts Exhibition at Stripping The Willow, here is a taster of what you missed. the above wall was painted by Booms and CoLor especially for the event.
CoLor Art put together a stunning collection, but the characterised gas bottles were my favourite. ( And it is my birthday soon, hint hint. 😉 ) Faunagraphic had these gorgeous canvases in the exhibition, and they looked much more beautiful in the flesh rather than in this pic. It was a great little event and hopefully there will be more to come. Nice to see local artists showing their work in this way. I’m gutted that I didn’t make it down to Phlegms exhibition in London, finger crossed I make it to the next one.
