Got to practice my mountaineering skills to view this wonderful creation by Foundry.Found this little lady by Coloquix hiding out in pigeon land too.And this death defying, but only just, piece by Brisk was near the summit.Reverse graffiti at it’s very best, I do love it when a cover up only reinforces what it’s meant to cover up!YMYD, very busy body at the moment, still not sure whether it’s Gun House or Bun House… but I’d choose death by bun any day 🙂 Rise One quality.Dyson, feeling the rainbow, well most of it.The Funky Mind Benders, in your face! 🙂JD really love this style.‘Your brain is a terrible thing to waste’ – Cantastic Art.Lollipops, interesting collab between C3 and D7606.Haven’t seen this little fellow about for a while, Xhastexo.Peachzz and Teddy BN7, cracking piece in a great location.Tulip by Dala, sometimes something so simple can look so effective.Kent has been the target of a dogging campaign recently, at least this one is untouched. Not a new one I think, but only just spotted this little Eug.Spotted this too, don’t know who it’s by though. As some of you will know, work has begun on the former Gatecrasher site, hopefully we won’t lose the boards just yet.
Well my internet’s still buggered, should be back to normal soon. Good job the weather’s been so lousy I haven’t been out much.
Oh and just in case you were wondering, I have it on good authority that Felm is the correct pronunciation of Phlegm… so now you know! 😉
Kosh, Skint and Sico, going large.Saul, a visitor from Leeds I think.Have a break, have a quick cat, glad I’m a dog person myself, Mr Eug.Mila K, outstanding as always.Who says clowns are scary, he’s a regular bundle of joy, by Kent.Like this, can’t read it mind.Space travel is in Dysons blood.Rambo,a vision in black and chrome.CoLor, I’m sure there’s a witty title for this but I’m blowed if I can think of it.Mars, loving these letters pieces.Bern x Kode x Zero, I do wish they got out more 😉Brayk wants his mummy.Suek a master of his craft.Sour in a purple patch.Miso maybe?Monkeys, because we all love monkeys 🙂
Prones’ first burner of the year, with a very appropriate quote from Nikola Tesla, not sure that he was referring to graffiti though.TCM – Rack One, Lone Kode Trik and Bern, awesome!A touching piece by Robo, a lovely tribute.Suek, I love this, hurts my head, but love it anyway. Temal, anybody know if there is a significance to the me me me?Cantastic Art, like this much.Fox by ABC, new to Sheffield I think, good to see new artists getting out and about.Foundry, Pawski and Ample Aerosolisz, simply amazing.Mr Kent, seems to know more about my childhood than I would like…Sour, sneaky piece.Eug x CoLor Art, not a new one, just took me a while to get around to seeing it.And this weeks award for painting in awkward places to photograph goes to Bine and Xastexo, fabulous staircase, pictures don’t do it justice.Oh and this is is Jim, apparently.
Love the positioning of this Kent piece.A friend of a friend bought a ventriloquists dummy from an antique shop on Abbeydale Road and every time they had friends round for dinner they would set a place for the dummy, not weird at all! I understand that this creation is being used as an album cover. The peregrines at St. Georges have laid 4 eggs this year, I wonder if they have seen this awesome piece by Faunagraphic.Rocket01 getting busy again creating this lovely lady. I still think the badges are a marvellous personal touch. Jaer, Mars and friends have redecorated some car park boards, they look really good but I’ve struggled to get a decent pic of the full wall without a car in front of it. I went back at the weekend to try my luck again only to find the car park owners have stuck signs all the way along it.One of Xhastexos luscious ladies, he certainly has a variety of characters in his repertoir…. Good to see this Booms piece is not lost forever, didn’t expect to see it in a tattoo studio though.Rayna, loving this letter style.Another masterpiece from Skint,he’s becoming quite adept in painting in bloody awkward spots to photograph, I’m sure he does it on purpose!
I met a very nice (business)man this weekend who tells me he has big (very big) plans for a charity graffiti wall on a well known Sheffield landmark, I do hope it all comes together, it will be amazing!
Good to see Ryak, Jaer and Gzos making the most of the sunshine. The finished wall, positively burnin’………… pass the factor 50!The glorious weather had brought Faunagraphic out to play as well.Lovely isn’t it?Of course the sunshine is all well and good but can be a bit of a nightmare with a camera, so this awesome piece by Foundry is slightly cropped to remove the shadow of a lamppost!Mr Kent, getting a little darker me thinks, looks like he’s been raiding my childhood toy collection.Eug with another of his evolving characters, one of the early ones is coming to live with me. 😀Fishy business from the Fisherman, the walls of Sheffield are quite a spawning ground for fish with legs, should we be worried? Mace and Pawski working wonders again, gorgeous. I’ve destroyed all my photos of the first 3rd eye, that went a little wrong ( good to know they’re only human though! 😉 )Sead with an another cracking contribution to this famous wall.I think I’ve seen a couple of characters about by this artist, I know nothing about them, I’m curious to see how they develop.
I had a lovely walk in the sunshine and bumped into lots of great people I hadn’t seen for ages. A few days later I had another walk cut short by hail rain and snow, I love spring! 😉
Due to the abjectly miserable weather didn’t venture far on my last wander, still, there’s plenty to see in the centre of town. Seeing this name appearing more and more around the city, Rime. Not sure if this was a deliberate collaboration or an accidental coming together of EMA, Kid Acne and Kent, like it though. My second near death experience of the year,or at least it would have been if I’d been daft enough to get off the makeshift ladder onto the rotten floor. Love this Zinc piece.Wish I knew who this was by, but I don’t. Thanks 😀 I now know it’s Sico.Rayna, a little different from his usual letters.Brisk, another writer becoming more visible in town. Variety is the spice of life and all that, good to have some fresh talent.Ogosh, as in ogosh that’s rather good! Narke, 4 tin burn, wicked colour scheme.A marvellous piece from Dyson, a master of his craft.Popped in to Kid Acnes exhibition, met the man himself, definitely worth a visit.Avoided near death experiences 3 and 4 by keeping my feet firmly on the ground to catch these Eug pieces, I’ll leave the climbing to those younger and fitter than me.Lastly on my little wander I revisited a Phlegm piece that has been ravaged by nature to fantastic effect. I was still pulling thorns out of my legs when I went to bed, but I figured it was worth it 🙂
Finished and the scaffolding gone at last, this is a really impressive wall at the Hubs.Foundry braved the cold and rain to create this masterpiece only to have the downpour wash away his efforts so he had to go back and do it all again! I think it was worth the effort though 😉Mr Kent has been making these figures appear around the city centre for some time, a sculptor by trade, I’m guessing these pasteups are from photos of his sculptures, I think they’re ace.Narke, Wrest1 and Skan worked on this amazing collaboration, I love the colours, inspired by the temperature perhaps?Xhastexo has created a lovable little character that I hope we’ll be seeing a lot more of.I’m very partial to a bit of Bob.Mila K x Narke, just keep getting better. Some usually does pieces that are really multi coloured and eyecatching, this one’s a little more subtle but really good.Black and Meth from Angry Perverts (love that name!), bootiful!
I must say that with one thing and another I’ve been struggling to get myself out and about,I’m really happy that the miserable weather isn’t holding our artists and writers back one bit!
