Still Going!

Seem to have got myself a little behind of late, I blame my crappy internet, (3.5 hours to upload 60 photos!), my garden, it’s a jungle out there, really it is, and also the fact that so much work is so widely documented that there really doesn’t seem to be any need to rush…. so I won’t. 😉 DSCF0844Suek always nice to see work by this talented guy. DSCF0882Meth, the cheeky leg was covered over quickly, glad I got to see it. DSCF1068Coloquix, lady in the lake, well brook actually, had a longer than expected walk to find her, worth the effort though. DSCF1085Foundry, Caught this handsome chap busy on this beautiful tribute piece for sweet Ruby who was only here for eleven days but her memory will live on with her family always. DSCF2152Took me several attempts to get a shot of this due to cars parked in front of it. The piece was completed shortly before Rubys funeral. DSCF1262 StitchAnother lovely tribute for Ruby by Mace, Surge and Mars. DSCF1278 StitchAero x Dose, they don’t get as much coverage as some artists, but are constantly keeping on it. DSCF1288 StitchI’m guessing not local, but my what a wall!DSCF1310 Stitch? x Ask x Dyel, great set of blokes who don’t get out as often as I’d like 😉 DSCF1321 StitchRiseone x I don’t know, but I really like it. DSCF1375Kisk, another fellow who needs to get out more, although I do know he’s often busy with community projects. Sleep well George. x

Spring Is On It’s Way!

DSCF8901 Stitch (20000x2675)A BOK production, featuring Kisk, Trik, apologies for the piece I chopped off, it just didn’t work with the joiner, my fault, bloody useless with a camera.DSCF8901This is the one I couldn’t fit on.DSCF8891Big BobDSCF8828 StitchCoLor, Eug X Espre, with a little D7606 too.DSCF8804Coloquix , got his ladies playing a dangerous game.DSCF8796Little Bob and a big Gums, really like these, is he local?DSCF8794https://youtu.be/ScaQts1Q41c  Kid Acne playing the lyric round again, I’d never have got this one in a million years.DSCF8786Xhastexo, good to see the monsters still get out every now and then 🙂DSCF8784Dyson. one for his boys.DSCF8753CoLor and Tekonta Secta, not new, but I’d not got up close before and it probably won’t be there much longer.DSCF8724Very fond of this little chap, no idea who made him.DSCF8712 StitchTaken me years to get to this place, it’s old and well battered, but I though it was ace. Looking forward to  bit of decent weather, it’s always better for painting!

Happy New Year!

I had thought I’d be out and about over the christmas period, but due to the seaonal weather and over indulgence I haven’t got very far at all, bring on the spring, or at least some dry weather!DSCF6648 StitchI do have a strange fondness for this place, it was one of my very first explores, it had more walls and roofs and even windows then! But I do think it’s on borrowed time now as it is slowly but surely falling down, I’ll be surprised if it lasts another year.DSCF6575 StitchSurge and Britney, did it again, reclaiming a favourite spot.DSCF6651Simple but effective, and slightly disturbing.DSCF6616Mr Hastes’ monkey seems to have escaped 🙂DSCF6591Corpse, surely one of the most photographed pieces in Sheffield over the last few days, love it!DSCF6584Stickers! Featuring C3, D7606, Greenz, SSSOVA, VoxRomana and others.DSCF6522Mila K,Acid Junkies, took this after it had snowed and the sun was shining, it was literally blinding.DSCF6493 StitchNot sure who did the piece on the left, but Dyson in the middle and Teml(?)DSCF6469I like this, a commissioned piece #colourbritain sponsored by Dulux.DSCF6463Coloquix has an exhibition on at the Forum, go see it if you can. I went to the opening night, cue another hangover! 😉DSCF6668 StitchThe skatepark is going through a popular phase at the moment, practically changing every week.DSCF6485 Riseone and Rast, I may have seen Riseone painting this, but it probably wasn’t him… DSCF6673This is an art space, a space for art, the shutter apparently however, is not….

Sheffields Answer To Felm

DSCF5793Got to practice my mountaineering skills to view this wonderful creation by Foundry.DSCF5787Found this little lady by Coloquix hiding out in pigeon land too.DSCF5766And this death defying, but only just, piece by Brisk was near the summit.DSCF5753Reverse graffiti at it’s very best, I do love it when a cover up only reinforces what it’s meant to cover up!DSCF5752YMYD, very busy body at the moment, still not sure whether it’s Gun House or Bun House… but I’d choose death by bun any day 🙂DSCF5747 Rise One quality.DSCF5735Dyson, feeling the rainbow, well most of it.DSCF5703 StitchThe Funky Mind Benders, in your face! 🙂DSCF5860JD  really love this style.DSCF5697‘Your brain is a terrible thing to waste’ – Cantastic Art.DSCF5686Lollipops, interesting collab between C3 and D7606.DSCF5656Haven’t seen this little fellow about for a while, Xhastexo.DSCF5617Peachzz and Teddy BN7, cracking piece in a great location.DSCF5605Tulip by Dala, sometimes something so simple can look so effective.DSCF5826Kent has been the target of a dogging campaign recently, at least this one is untouched.DSCF5823Not a new one I think, but only just spotted this little Eug.DSCF5820Spotted this too, don’t know who it’s by though.DSCF5673As some of you will know, work has begun on the former Gatecrasher site, hopefully we won’t lose the boards just yet.

Well my internet’s still buggered, should be back to normal soon. Good job the weather’s been so lousy I haven’t been out much.

Oh and just in case you were wondering, I have it on good authority that Felm is the correct pronunciation of Phlegm… so now you know!  😉

Yorkshires Top Graff Tourism Spot?

DSCF0116I read an interview with D7606 on New Urban Eras website, now there’s a guy who travels the country photographing graffiti, pasting his quirky telephone boxes on the way, and where’s his favourite spot? Sheffield! Hardly surprising really.

I’m guessing the paste up is another of the new batch in the city, all good.DSCF0113Rocket01s’ tribute piece to Neil Armstrong has been widely covered so I thought I’d post a close up, the facial features are amazing.DSCF0087 StitchRiseone and (insert name here), got a green thing going on here, I like. DSCF0085Meth,love this and the new big one I haven’t seen in the flesh is brilliant.DSCF0084I don’t know, made me smile though. 🙂DSCF0077This is just beautiful, I think it’s a real work of art, Foundry has excelled himself with this lovely lady. DSCF0069Solo, really like the colours and fill with this.DSCF0056Coloquixs’ lucious lady, gets about she does…DSCF0051Alex Ekins has been at it again, paste up Sherpas this time. This one’s my favourite.DSCF0028H2i have got the city looking lovely at the moment, this is a close up of  Maces’ latest in the centre.DSCF0026Pawski, definitely one with an eye for the ladies this fellow 😉 DSCF0022 StitchaEvo and Mars, bangin’!DSCF0006 StitchaaGzos with an ace piece to celebrate his mate Pete triumphing over cancer. Lovely tribute.

Perhaps I’m aiming too low with Yorkshires’ top spot, perhaps we’re the top spot in the UK, well nearly 🙂

It’s All Going On

DSCF8582Don’t know the name of this artist, but I know he’s got a beard, if that helps…DSCF8585Brisk, appropriate name, he’s all over the place at the moment, very brisk indeed. DSCF8609Health and Safety advice, ‘Try not to face plant’ !DSCF8616The legend that is Form been back around these parts recently.DSCF8631Enoesir or Riseone if you prefer.DSCF8661Rocket01, back with a bang, really good to see that he reclaimed this spot too after his previous piece was unceremoniously destroyed with a chainsaw.DSCF8670Bob with his little red devil, don’t know if the other character has a name.DSCF8758Trik9 and Meth got the moody blues in town, love it.DSCF8776C3 /D7606 pasteup collaboration in a rather random place.DSCF8789 Stitch (5000x1613)Evo and Mars H2i, BS production, strong with the force these ones are.DSCF8720Anyone who didn’t make it to the Mardy Arts Exhibition at Stripping The Willow, here is a taster of what you missed. the above wall was painted by Booms and CoLor especially for the event.

DSCF8699 DSCF8698

Just some of the loveliness available from Mila KDSCF8702A bit of a poor quality photo of a Mila piece and the jawdropping work from Booms.

DSCF8708 DSCF8697CoLor Art put together a stunning collection, but the characterised gas bottles were my favourite. ( And it is my birthday soon, hint hint.  😉 ) DSCF8703Faunagraphic had these gorgeous canvases in the exhibition, and they looked much more beautiful in the flesh rather than in this pic. It was a great little event and hopefully there will be more to come. Nice to see local artists showing their work in this way. I’m gutted that I didn’t make it down to Phlegms exhibition in London, finger crossed I make it to the next one.
