Catching Up Again!

DSCF7512Sorry for the gap between posts, been caught up in the festive spirit (blatant lie!) Anyway let’s get back on track. I do like stickers and slaps, nice to see a Tom Newell one.DSCF7580CoLor and Narke and an attack of the munchies I think.DSCF7583Cantastic Art, becoming an increasingly regular visitor to Sheffield, I like this much.DSCF7564This gorgeous lion is part of an amazing looking mural on the Hallam Uni Students Union building , painted by  graphic design graduate Sachin Limbachia, can’t wait to see it without the scaffolding around it.DSCF7569 Stitch (6000x1392)Gzos and Jaer, laying claim and brightening more of the bored boards in our city.DSCF7529Slugger, much more than that I don’t know, quirky characters though 🙂 DSCF7634Heard this character was being retired, a pity if it’s true, he’s one of my favourites, by Riseone. DSCF7516And finally, the last in the series….Bunny! this one is by Alex Ekins

Guess Who’s Back? Back Again!

DSCF5328Quick round up of stuff seen out and about, got a bit of a backlog, due to being offline so to speak. First up a Barbie sticker, new to the scene but putting the work in and getting out there. Girl Power!

DSCF5320EMA gave the Access space a new lick of paint.

DSCF5311 StitchRiseone and Jonas were on the gatecrasher boards briefly.

DSCF5275Suek and Sour created a number of new characters, this one is by Suek, I think this little chap is my most favourite.DSCF5283CoLor Art, stopped taking the medication I see 😉

DSCF5291Interesting pasteup by Kent, a sculptor, I like these, definitely different.

DSCF5299Espre, what can I say, love it!DSCF6671Cantastic Art, trying something a little different with a reproduction of an image that’s been floating around the internet. I don’t know who it was by, not that it matters really in my opinion, it’s a quality piece and a fitting nod to the original.

DSCF6675Trevor by Trevor, with teeth!DSCF6682Skint, going green, an eco craftsman?DSCF6689Xhastexo and Bine have formed a formidable partnership, producing bigger and better pieces one after the other at the moment, excellent!

So yes, I’m back on it, more posts coming very soon 🙂

Got To Catch ’em All, Can’t Catch ’em All!

DSCF0376Rayna, Skint and Rambo, gorgeous wall in a room with not much of a view and a not so delicate odour of pigeon poop.

DSCF0406Teml at the green, wonder how long this one will last, extremely rapid turnover there at the moment.

DSCF0420Tekonta Secta, love these, seem to miss more than I find though..

DSCF0418Riseone and Rek have made a colourful contribution on the new legal wall  in town.

DSCF0417Mila x Narke another cracker!

DSCF0369Sour, really like the cheeky character, I wonder if he has a name?

DSCF0381DSCF0402The Morrigan and the Puffin by CoLor Art. I described the Morrigan as my favouritest CoLor piece to date, and then he did the puffin, just too good!

DSCF0419It’s not often I’m beaten in my attempts to see a piece, but when there aren’t any stairs, I am! There is a way, but I’m in no rush to have any more broken bones, thank you very much. It’s a shame because there are about 4 pieces up there that I’ll never see, can’t catch ’em all I guess…

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team.

DSCF7865Trying to catch up on pieces I’ve missed, so went for a whistle stop tour of a few sites, not easy when you’re doing it by bus and foot, all good for the fitness regime though! Found Superman, check. Just Wonder Woman to get now. At least I know where she is, thanks to a little help.

DSCF8329Xhastexo, a bit of a deviation from his usual style, but I like this, a lot.

DSCF7873Rayna does these faces that are appearing more and more, I really like them.

DSCF7882I just love all the colour in this shot reminds me of photos of New York alleyways.

DSCF7890Half of me is seriously not happy about this piece encroaching on Phlegms cat/manatee, but the other half can see that it is deteriorating with time. I quite like the Smut piece, but it will be a sad day when the Phlegm piece has gone altogether.

DSCF7895Prone, self portrait, awesome as always. Handsome chap isn’t he?

DSCF7902Nikon, Riseone and Jonas have done a sweet wall at the ballcourts.

DSCF7853DSCF8008Sheffields answer to Hannibal Smith of the A Team, Gzos, has pulled off a very clever trick in the city.  I love it when a plan comes together.

Out and About (or Walking back from Physio!)

DSCF5131

Though not the busiest time of year but some writers/artists are still compelled to go out and paint, I literally fell off the bus when I saw this Boms piece! I also got the weirdest feeling of deja vu and I don’t know why.

DSCF5119

Skint Riseone and others painted at the ballcourts.

DSCF5120

Drot/Bob and Kid Acne  had been there as well.

DSCF5098

Trik9 and Meth had done a wall, I’m really loving Meths stuff at the moment.

DSCF5140

I’m not a mad keen Kid Acne fan, but I do love the Stabby Women and there has definitely been a new batch, don’t know when they went up, but it’s nice to see them again.

DSCF5049

I love Barbara the Horse!

DSCF5044

I don’t pretend to know what this is about but it made me chuckle.

Even in the depths of winter the streets just keep on giving, just wish it was a bit warmer – and sunny – and not icy…

Speeding up a Gear

DSCF2118

Good to see new pieces by CoLor and Skint. Getting back to a semblance of normality was great and I really appreciated that the local lads had kept been busy creating things for me to go and look at, not that they had done it for me really, but all the same…

DSCF3272

Although to be fair, I was still on catch up too, like this CoLor x Narke x Mila piece, which I had known of for a while but not been able to access.

DSCF2963

Rocket01 and Boms wall, fantastic!

DSCF4821

Seasonal piece by Riseone, whom I believe I met although he was adamant he wasn’t him…

DSCF4814

Atik, relocated from Brighton and a top bloke, had seen some of his work before and not known who it was.

DSCF4811

Not sure of the names, but I believe these guys are from the north east, they certainly get about a bit.

DSCF2169

Espre, love this piece, he doesn’t paint as often as I’d like.

.DSCF2206

This was done a couple of years ago by Ziru a french artist, I’ve only just seen it and I really like it.

So, I’m trying to get straight for the end of the year, so I can start 2013 blogging in real time instead of retrospective, so I apologise that I may have omitted some valuable works, it won’t happen again, honest.

Countryside, Trackside and Phlegm

During wetter weather indoor locations soar in popularity Gzos and Boms had been to this one a couple of times.

I saw Rocketo1 while he was painting this, he looked frozen, just because it’s undercover, it’s not exactly draft free.

Cory, who doesn’t paint as often as some, had paid a visit here with Jaer.

Trackside, some areas are more exposed than others Mune and friends had painted at the more sheltered spot.

Meth and I’m not sure who else, Black? If you know please let me know.

Mr Wolf,  quiet and understated as always, but I’m loving the Boms and Riseone too.

Mr Phlegm finds the oddest things to paint, I trudged a long way down an extremely uneven and quite dangerous track to get here and once here realised there was a much less painful way.

Prey to Some Wild Beast – Phlegm. The more discerning viewer will know that this piece isn’t exactly trackside or countryside, but it’s quite near to a railway line and that will do for me.
