Rackone x Kode’ banging wall, took me ages to get a decent shot because of cars parked in front of it!Earth x ?, popping up more regularly these days, which can only be a good thing. Dems x Osim(?), spongey floors are not a favourite of mine, but worth the trauma for this..Alan x Teml x Dyson x ? x Riseone x ?, great wall, 6 artists, I bet it was quite a party. Cheeky pair in a nice little spot! Sheep, having a spliff… It’s been two years since we lost Clem Alice and the pain is still very raw for his friends and family, tributes have appeared marking the anniversary of his death, although the artists that were closest to him, commemorate him on every piece they do.This Clem Alice piece is, I think, where ‘Long Live The Explorer’ first appeared. Sleep well George. x
Narke x Nowt, lovely colours in this Acid Junkies piece. Really liking this by Rambo.Mornin’ beautiful! Why thank you Miso!TCM wonderful wall, featuring Zero, Trik9, Prone Kode, Mars and Legal.Mist1, Sheffield legend, had someone in Bristol asking me about this chap.Link, had a birthday recently I hear… Sico, with a valentine message for someone special, I think 🙂 Pawski, on top form with this lovely lady.Alex Ekins tribute/show of solidarity to the Charlie Hebdo victims. Along came a Spider, so happy that Phlegm paid us a visit, love this so much, it was worth the brambles and everything. D7606, ready to use wheatpaste, my favourite shade. C3, these ladies are developing nicely, gorgeous. Eug, got a strange taste in underwear, like the tattoos though. 🙂 Rialto and Earth, getting busy, which is a good thing I think.Brayk Graff ‘The coldest flame in Sheffield’, know the feeling.J Davies Arts, eye popping letters.007, old piece ( the writer sadly died in 2000) uncovered by clearance of vegetation on railtracks, very well preserved.Mila K, looking good, as always, fun to find, as always… This Alex Ekins Raven wheatpaste is definitely one of my favourites. Stunning Lord of the Rings themed wall from Mace, Surge, Gzos and Shadyone Amp.Evo, Pawski and Shoe, very handsome portrait of a fellow in the middle there 😉Coloquix, seeing double and with the reflection almost double double!! Skint and Sico, way too cool for school. Class of 2015 by CoLor, I’m particularly fond of the little details on this. Hungry Horace seemed to disappear altogether, but perhaps not, this doesn’t look new but it’s certainly not as old as his other stuff, the plot thickens….
I read an interview with D7606 on New Urban Eras website, now there’s a guy who travels the country photographing graffiti, pasting his quirky telephone boxes on the way, and where’s his favourite spot? Sheffield! Hardly surprising really.
I’m guessing the paste up is another of the new batch in the city, all good.Rocket01s’ tribute piece to Neil Armstrong has been widely covered so I thought I’d post a close up, the facial features are amazing.Riseone and (insert name here), got a green thing going on here, I like. Meth, love this and the new big one I haven’t seen in the flesh is brilliant.I don’t know, made me smile though. 🙂This is just beautiful, I think it’s a real work of art, Foundry has excelled himself with this lovely lady. Lovely tribute.
Perhaps I’m aiming too low with Yorkshires’ top spot, perhaps we’re the top spot in the UK, well nearly 🙂
Sorry for the gap between posts, been caught up in the festive spirit (blatant lie!) Anyway let’s get back on track. I do like stickers and slaps, nice to see a Tom Newell one.CoLor and Narke and an attack of the munchies I think.Cantastic Art, becoming an increasingly regular visitor to Sheffield, I like this much. This gorgeous lion is part of an amazing looking mural on the Hallam Uni Students Union building , painted by graphic design graduate Sachin Limbachia, can’t wait to see it without the scaffolding around it.Gzos and Jaer, laying claim and brightening more of the bored boards in our city.Slugger, much more than that I don’t know, quirky characters though 🙂 Heard this character was being retired, a pity if it’s true, he’s one of my favourites, by Riseone. And finally, the last in the series….Bunny! this one is by Alex Ekins
This is what I’ve seen on very recent expeditions. Sour, pushing boundaries with this piece that looks like it’s raised up from the wall.Alex Ekins, little fox, lovely.Kid Acne x Petro, for reasons I don’t understand, a bit of a ‘marmite’ wall.H2i (Pawski, Mace, Mars) and TIO (Gzos, Jaer) came together for this fantastic tribute marking the tragic extinction in the wild of the Black Rhino.Trex, not a regular contributor to city centre walls, more usually seen on the outskirts. I have now been informed that this is a different Trex and the original is not impressed.Cantastic Art has taken to night time manoeuvres recently, must be sponsored by a carrot farmer!Boaster MTH did this sneaky little character on a recent visit to Sheffield, love it!This wonderful owl, something a little different from Mars, awesome.Managed to catch two of the H2i fellows working on this stunner of a wall featuring Chali 2Na, (I confess, I had never heard of him, but the likeness is amazing!) The finished wall by Shoe and Pawski, completed just as it went dark, lucky to get a half decent shot thanks to fading light and dying camera batteries. And finally… another Bunny!
Some of the pieces shown have already disappeared under the Halloween walls, but they’re very worthy of a viewing here. I don’t know this Gusk, a visitor I think, but I like it.Gzos, holy cow!MTH had paid a visit, not sure of the individual names, but it’s Boaster on the right. And Dilk on the left.Don’t know who but it’s fresh. It’s by Tals, a lovely lady writer, thanks for the info.Don’t know this one either, but I’m guessing part of MTH I can read this (!) , but I read it wrong and it’s Irek.CoLor Art and Eug, love the colours in this.Eug busy as always,Teas, a welcome but less frequent visitor, he should get out more.KRS One by Mars,H2i, awesome!D7606s post box featuring Marilyn Monroe, love it.One of Coloquix’ luscious ladies.Nice to see Prone back on it after his extended tour of America with this colourful collab with Lone.Kisk, Risk, Trik9 and Such, with an absolute stunner.Sadhu by Alex Ekins, and me, contemplating the universe, as you do.
