Whatever The Weather

DSCF8225Along came a Spider, so happy that Phlegm paid us a visit, love this so much, it was worth the brambles and everything. DSCF7093D7606, ready to use wheatpaste, my favourite shade. DSCF7087C3, these ladies are developing nicely, gorgeous.  DSCF7077Eug, got a strange taste in underwear, like the tattoos though. 🙂  DSCF7068Rialto and Earth, getting busy, which is a good thing I think.DSCF7061Brayk Graff  ‘The coldest flame in Sheffield’, know the feeling.DSCF7007J Davies Arts, eye popping letters.DSCF6948007, old piece ( the writer sadly died in 2000) uncovered by clearance of vegetation on railtracks, very well preserved.DSCF6941Mila K, looking good, as always, fun to find, as always… DSCF6929This Alex Ekins Raven wheatpaste is definitely one of my favourites. DSCF7056 StitchStunning Lord of the Rings themed wall from Mace, Surge, Gzos and Shadyone Amp.DSCF6895 StitchEvo, Pawski and Shoe, very handsome portrait of a fellow in the middle there 😉DSCF6889Coloquix, seeing double and with the reflection almost double double!!DSCF6854 Skint and Sico, way too cool for school. DSCF6825Class of 2015 by CoLor, I’m particularly fond of the little details on this. DSCF6779 Hungry Horace seemed to disappear altogether, but perhaps not, this doesn’t look new but it’s certainly not as old as his other stuff, the plot thickens….

Yorkshires Top Graff Tourism Spot?

DSCF0116I read an interview with D7606 on New Urban Eras website, now there’s a guy who travels the country photographing graffiti, pasting his quirky telephone boxes on the way, and where’s his favourite spot? Sheffield! Hardly surprising really.

I’m guessing the paste up is another of the new batch in the city, all good.DSCF0113Rocket01s’ tribute piece to Neil Armstrong has been widely covered so I thought I’d post a close up, the facial features are amazing.DSCF0087 StitchRiseone and (insert name here), got a green thing going on here, I like. DSCF0085Meth,love this and the new big one I haven’t seen in the flesh is brilliant.DSCF0084I don’t know, made me smile though. 🙂DSCF0077This is just beautiful, I think it’s a real work of art, Foundry has excelled himself with this lovely lady. DSCF0069Solo, really like the colours and fill with this.DSCF0056Coloquixs’ lucious lady, gets about she does…DSCF0051Alex Ekins has been at it again, paste up Sherpas this time. This one’s my favourite.DSCF0028H2i have got the city looking lovely at the moment, this is a close up of  Maces’ latest in the centre.DSCF0026Pawski, definitely one with an eye for the ladies this fellow 😉 DSCF0022 StitchaEvo and Mars, bangin’!DSCF0006 StitchaaGzos with an ace piece to celebrate his mate Pete triumphing over cancer. Lovely tribute.

Perhaps I’m aiming too low with Yorkshires’ top spot, perhaps we’re the top spot in the UK, well nearly 🙂

It’s All Going On

DSCF8582Don’t know the name of this artist, but I know he’s got a beard, if that helps…DSCF8585Brisk, appropriate name, he’s all over the place at the moment, very brisk indeed. DSCF8609Health and Safety advice, ‘Try not to face plant’ !DSCF8616The legend that is Form been back around these parts recently.DSCF8631Enoesir or Riseone if you prefer.DSCF8661Rocket01, back with a bang, really good to see that he reclaimed this spot too after his previous piece was unceremoniously destroyed with a chainsaw.DSCF8670Bob with his little red devil, don’t know if the other character has a name.DSCF8758Trik9 and Meth got the moody blues in town, love it.DSCF8776C3 /D7606 pasteup collaboration in a rather random place.DSCF8789 Stitch (5000x1613)Evo and Mars H2i, BS production, strong with the force these ones are.DSCF8720Anyone who didn’t make it to the Mardy Arts Exhibition at Stripping The Willow, here is a taster of what you missed. the above wall was painted by Booms and CoLor especially for the event.

DSCF8699 DSCF8698

Just some of the loveliness available from Mila KDSCF8702A bit of a poor quality photo of a Mila piece and the jawdropping work from Booms.

DSCF8708 DSCF8697CoLor Art put together a stunning collection, but the characterised gas bottles were my favourite. ( And it is my birthday soon, hint hint.  😉 ) DSCF8703Faunagraphic had these gorgeous canvases in the exhibition, and they looked much more beautiful in the flesh rather than in this pic. It was a great little event and hopefully there will be more to come. Nice to see local artists showing their work in this way. I’m gutted that I didn’t make it down to Phlegms exhibition in London, finger crossed I make it to the next one.

In With The Old And The New

DSCF7785Got a bit stir crazy on New Years Day so had a trip to a new (to me)spot, most of the work looked like it had some age to it but there was some interesting new stuff too.DSCF7787No idea who did most of it, no pun intended!DSCF7797Quite like this little chap.DSCF7800Ocelot, at least the persistent rain provided some nice reflection puddles.DSCF7815I was going to guess at what this said but decided against it.DSCF7820This was a new piece, love it, curious to see what they do next. Will definitely be visiting this place again.DSCF7829Awesome character by Mars.DSCF7835Evo, doubled.  🙂 DSCF7843Suek, in a place where wasn’t particularly easy to take a picture.DSCF7927Sour and Skint, much like.DSCF7919 StitchDanks with a bull by Emit (I think)a really striking wall, marvellous.DSCF7935The Doctor will see you now. That D7606 has been out and about again.

Due to the bad weather and generally being very lazy over the christmas and new year, got a fair bit of leg work to do… that’s the fitness regime sorted!

Autumnal Activities

DSCF7144Even though the weather has certainly turned autumnal, there’s still a lot going on in the city, I revisited one of my favourite urbex spots to get this Mila K x Skint piece. DSCF7165Stood at the tramstop and spotted this eyecatching little number!DSCF7228I’m sure Skint said he’d never paint the ballcourts again, must be an imposter! 😉DSCF7310 StitchThis is a bit of a cobbled together photo, the pieces by Prone and CoLor were completed a few days before Espre finished his bit. unfortunately somebody felt the need to ruin CoLors piece before I could get a complete finished shot, so this is a composite set of three images taken several days apart. This seems to be happening a lot lately, with several artists being targeted, not big and not clever. As you can see it was a great wall, if only for a short time. DSCF7219I don’t know who did this, Aspirin, may or may not be a clue, whoever did it, I like it, a lot.DSCF7197I’m not sure who did this either, but it’s ace. I now have it on good authority that this piece is by Meth, which I thought it might be, but wasn’t sure.DSCF6914Xhastexo x Bine x Greenz, a lovely combination. DSCF6944H2i member Pawski, flying solo on this one, awesome as per usual, and he just about finished it before it went dark!DSCF7241 StitchH2i, were out in force for this one, Pawski, Mace, Mars, Evo and Seed spent the Remembrance weekend on this truly wonderful production, a very fitting tribute to the fallen.DSCF7171And now for something completely different! Bunny !

Wakefield Part Trois

DSCF4241Third and final trip, probably, to Wakefield and the last ‘Revive’ Jam of the year, and what a turnout! Kem Mef paid a visit and did a cracking piece that I managed to not get a single decent shot of.

DSCF4236CoLor Art  dropped a cool Chopper Harris character.

DSCF4374Cantastic, did something a little different to anything I’ve seen him do before, really like the elephants.

DSCF4487Spel and Beyond flew over, dropped an awesome piece and even had time to pimp a car!

DSCF4494Was really impressed that one of the organisers had been able to persuade Kelzo to come over too, I hadn’t seen him in action before, great to see.

DSCF4511There was much more full wall, as in floor to ceiling coverage than at previous Jams, they look amazing, well done to the guys working off ladders, it can’t have been easy.

DSCF4573Alfreshco were on hand to supply paint as needed and there guy Kak did this stunning wall too.

DSCF4550UKS came prepared, no balancing on ladders for them.

DSCF4710 StitchaSheffield was once again well represented, Ryak Lone and Kode on the case.

DSCF4720 StitchAdopted yorkshireman Shoe collaborated with Mace, Pawski and Foundry to produce this jaw dropping wall with characters Clay, Aisha and Cougar from the graphic novel and movie, The Losers.

DSCF4726 StitchMars and Evo were there as well, bang on as always.

DSCF4735 StitchThe completed wall from UKS, apologies for the pic, not the best joined image, but their production is fantastic.

DSCF4730 StitchAnother full wall, love it!

DSCF4739Kink Dhfam did the bottom eye and mind boggling piece, and another artist from the northeast did the piece above.

DSCF4741 StitchPryme, Inca, Spymad and Hull Graffiti, absolutely bonkers mental and fabulous!

DSCF4345By far the coolest customer that I met on the day, Ruby. She ran the burger van in between playing ball and refereeing in local disputes, an absolute star.

Apologies to any artist painting that aren’t featured, once again just too much good stuff, not that I’m complaining…

Sadly though I have to report a number of the large pieces had been dogged within days, jealousy makes children of some people it would seem…. but lots of photos were taken on the day by lots of photographers, so the images will remain in all their glory on line at least.
