DSCF1819DSCF2068 DSCF0229On a side note, sad to see that the new owners of the pub that was the Bell Jar have painted over all the artwork that was there, their loss (and ours) I suppose, but a pity none the less.

Sharrow Jam 2014

DSCF1828I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to put this post together, but it has. The jam at the ball courts, Sheffields biggest graff event on the calendar, was as always well attended with many of the great and the good from here and further afield turning up to paint.  Byne and Haste were on it, in the same spot as last year, I believe.DSCF1825Iron Man being wonderfully recreated by Mace.DSCF1833Ryak, dressed appropriately for the weather,as were many others, because it was blooming hot!, working on their signature pieces.DSCF1845Si2, Hull Graffiti working his magic again, I’m so glad he likes coming to this city.DSCF1843Kosh painting a pooch.DSCF1854Trik9, having a little dancing interlude.

Only paid a flying visit to the jam on the day, due to having a very hot dog with me! Here’s some finished masterpieces.DSCF1966Si2 Hull Graffiti.DSCF1971 StitchMeth, CoLor, Kode and Lone.DSCF2002Byne and Haste.DSCF2003 StitchMTH, Irek Onger and Suer.DSCF1826Surge.DSCF1834Sone.DSCF1860Haven’t got a decent shot of this complete due to the goals being put back up, don’t know the artists name either.DSCF1994Cantastic Art.DSCF1852This one was spoilt by the goal too.DSCF1855I don’t know the names of these guys, sorry.DSCF2009 StitchTrik9, Prone and Xanone.DSCF1941Pawski and Shoe.DSCF1951Public Offender.DSCF2036Open and Link.DSCF1987 StitchRyak and ?.DSCF2042Core.DSCF1948And finally…

Sadly, as much as this is an annual event, so too is the dogging of some of the pieces as soon as the jam is over, lucky there was some star who came and retouched them all…… warms the cockles of my heart! 🙂

Anti Social Behaviour Is A Trait Of Intelligence…..

DSCF9676Prones’ first burner of the year, with a very appropriate quote from Nikola Tesla, not sure that he was referring to graffiti though.DSCF9690 StitchTCM – Rack One, Lone Kode Trik and Bern, awesome!DSCF9695A touching piece by Robo, a lovely tribute.DSCF9702Suek, I love this, hurts my head, but love it anyway. DSCF9704Temal, anybody know if there is a significance to the me me me?DSCF9709Cantastic Art, like this much.DSCF9723Fox by ABC, new to Sheffield I think, good to see new artists getting out and about.DSCF9732 StitchFoundry, Pawski and Ample Aerosolisz, simply amazing.DSCF9758Mr Kent, seems to know more about my childhood than I would like…DSCF9762Sour, sneaky piece.DSCF9765 StitchEug x CoLor Art, not a new one, just took me a while to get around to seeing it.DSCF9778And this weeks award for painting in awkward places to photograph goes to Bine and Xastexo, fabulous staircase, pictures don’t do it justice.DSCF9791 DSCF9812Oh and this is is Jim, apparently.

Catching up

DSCF6772Some of the pieces shown have already disappeared under the Halloween walls, but they’re very worthy of a viewing here. I don’t know this Gusk, a visitor I think, but I like it.DSCF6779Gzos, holy cow!DSCF6780 StitchMTH had paid a visit, not sure of the individual names, but it’s Boaster on the right. And Dilk on the left.DSCF6780Don’t know who but it’s fresh. It’s by Tals, a lovely lady writer, thanks for the info.DSCF6781Don’t know this one either, but I’m guessing part of MTHDSCF6784 I can read this (!) , but I read it wrong and it’s Irek.DSCF6790CoLor Art and Eug, love the colours in this.DSCF6837Eug busy as always,Teas, a welcome but less frequent visitor, he should get out more.DSCF6885KRS One by Mars,H2i, awesome!DSCF6770D7606s post box featuring Marilyn Monroe, love it.DSCF6829One of Coloquix’ luscious ladies.DSCF6889Nice to see Prone back on it after his extended tour of America with this colourful collab with Lone.DSCF7131 StitchKisk, Risk, Trik9 and Such, with an absolute stunner.DSCF7175Sadhu by Alex Ekins, and me, contemplating the universe, as you do.

I’m almost up to date since my holiday, apart from all the ones I haven’t got to yet!

This is Halloween

DSCF7157I love Halloween, and I’ve been well happy this year that so many artists have got into the spirit, so to speak. Love this piece by Coloquix.DSCF7102 Stitch (2) (6000x1160)Part of a huge wall in the city centre, this section features Trik9, Jaer and New Yorker Eli One.DSCF7122 StitchTrik9(again) and Kisks’ bit.DSCF7111 StitchSuch, with the most amazing Evil Mickey I have ever seen, Kode and Lone.DSCF7109 StitchGzos’ contribution. The whole wall is fantastic,I broke it down into sections so you can see more of the detail.DSCF7005CoLor Art went over to the darkside. DSCF7101Mila Ks piece, sensational as always. DSCF6763 StitchThis beast of a wall features the talents of Booms, CoLor Art, Danks, Trik9 and Prone.DSCF6752Lone did this spooktacular(did I just say that!) take on Jason.

All in all made me a very happy undead vampire bunny!

Art In The Garden

DSCF5382Just before popping off on my holidays I called in at this event at the Nursery Tavern, organised by My Life Project https://www.facebook.com/pages/My-Life-Project/275414552515098 . I had expected a small scale event with just a few local artists, how wrong I was! Kisk and Trik 9 were working together on a wall.

DSCF5375Faunagraphic was busy on a beautiful piece featuring British wildlife.

DSCF5395Meth had been and gone by the time I got there.

DSCF5378Caught the lovely Mr Coloquix at work.

DSCF5398 StitchJaer and Gzos had completed this awesome wall.

DSCF6690Such completed a great piece featuring roadrunner.

DSCF669410 and Espre had done their bit.

DSCF6701Ryak, Lone, Kode and Cantastic Art each made a colourful contribution, stunning wall.

DSCF6702No party would be complete without Eugene Booms.

DSCF6716Cantastic art also sneaked in a cheeky 3 wise monkeys piece.

DSCF5379The only work I didn’t get a finished shot of, the My Life Project van, undergoing a makeover from CoLor Art.

DSCF6697 StitchThe collaboration by Kisk and Trik9, super, smashing, great!

DSCF5386I’ve seen this fellow before at graff events, I think he’s working under cover, bloody good disguise though!

A lot more artists were painting than I expected, many others had called in for support and a catch up, it was great to see so many friendly faces.  🙂

Such a fantastic event, lots of artists and lots of spectators, the landlord was an absolute star as well, I do hope they do it again.

Wakefield Part Trois

DSCF4241Third and final trip, probably, to Wakefield and the last ‘Revive’ Jam of the year, and what a turnout! Kem Mef paid a visit and did a cracking piece that I managed to not get a single decent shot of.

DSCF4236CoLor Art  dropped a cool Chopper Harris character.

DSCF4374Cantastic, did something a little different to anything I’ve seen him do before, really like the elephants.

DSCF4487Spel and Beyond flew over, dropped an awesome piece and even had time to pimp a car!

DSCF4494Was really impressed that one of the organisers had been able to persuade Kelzo to come over too, I hadn’t seen him in action before, great to see.

DSCF4511There was much more full wall, as in floor to ceiling coverage than at previous Jams, they look amazing, well done to the guys working off ladders, it can’t have been easy.

DSCF4573Alfreshco were on hand to supply paint as needed and there guy Kak did this stunning wall too.

DSCF4550UKS came prepared, no balancing on ladders for them.

DSCF4710 StitchaSheffield was once again well represented, Ryak Lone and Kode on the case.

DSCF4720 StitchAdopted yorkshireman Shoe collaborated with Mace, Pawski and Foundry to produce this jaw dropping wall with characters Clay, Aisha and Cougar from the graphic novel and movie, The Losers.

DSCF4726 StitchMars and Evo were there as well, bang on as always.

DSCF4735 StitchThe completed wall from UKS, apologies for the pic, not the best joined image, but their production is fantastic.

DSCF4730 StitchAnother full wall, love it!

DSCF4739Kink Dhfam did the bottom eye and mind boggling piece, and another artist from the northeast did the piece above.

DSCF4741 StitchPryme, Inca, Spymad and Hull Graffiti, absolutely bonkers mental and fabulous!

DSCF4345By far the coolest customer that I met on the day, Ruby. She ran the burger van in between playing ball and refereeing in local disputes, an absolute star.

Apologies to any artist painting that aren’t featured, once again just too much good stuff, not that I’m complaining…

Sadly though I have to report a number of the large pieces had been dogged within days, jealousy makes children of some people it would seem…. but lots of photos were taken on the day by lots of photographers, so the images will remain in all their glory on line at least.
