Seem to have got myself a little behind of late, I blame my crappy internet, (3.5 hours to upload 60 photos!), my garden, it’s a jungle out there, really it is, and also the fact that so much work is so widely documented that there really doesn’t seem to be any need to rush…. so I won’t. 😉 Suek always nice to see work by this talented guy. Meth, the cheeky leg was covered over quickly, glad I got to see it. Coloquix, lady in the lake, well brook actually, had a longer than expected walk to find her, worth the effort though. Foundry, Caught this handsome chap busy on this beautiful tribute piece for sweet Ruby who was only here for eleven days but her memory will live on with her family always. Took me several attempts to get a shot of this due to cars parked in front of it. The piece was completed shortly before Rubys funeral. Another lovely tribute for Ruby by Mace, Surge and Mars. Aero x Dose, they don’t get as much coverage as some artists, but are constantly keeping on it. I’m guessing not local, but my what a wall!? x Ask x Dyel, great set of blokes who don’t get out as often as I’d like 😉 Riseone x I don’t know, but I really like it. Kisk, another fellow who needs to get out more, although I do know he’s often busy with community projects. Slew x Orin, not seen these guys in Sheffield before, they can normally be found lurking further south.Vintage Teas, goodness knows how old it is!Booms, I like to think this is based on me apart from the tattoos, the bald head and the beard 🙂 Broker, long time no see, perhaps I’m just going to the wrong places…

Xhastexo x Bine, has been altered since this photo was taken, due to some childish shenanigans, but this is the original in in all its glory.Alex Ekins, peddler Raven, sleeping on the job. Rackone x Kode’ banging wall, took me ages to get a decent shot because of cars parked in front of it!Earth x ?, popping up more regularly these days, which can only be a good thing. Dems x Osim(?), spongey floors are not a favourite of mine, but worth the trauma for this..Alan x Teml x Dyson x ? x Riseone x ?, great wall, 6 artists, I bet it was quite a party. Cheeky pair in a nice little spot! Sheep, having a spliff… It’s been two years since we lost Clem Alice and the pain is still very raw for his friends and family, tributes have appeared marking the anniversary of his death, although the artists that were closest to him, commemorate him on every piece they do.This Clem Alice piece is, I think, where ‘Long Live The Explorer’ first appeared. Sleep well George. x
A BOK production, featuring Kisk, Trik, apologies for the piece I chopped off, it just didn’t work with the joiner, my fault, bloody useless with a camera. This is the one I couldn’t fit on.Big BobCoLor, Eug X Espre, with a little D7606 too.Coloquix , got his ladies playing a dangerous game.Little Bob and a big Gums, really like these, is he local?https://youtu.be/ScaQts1Q41c Kid Acne playing the lyric round again, I’d never have got this one in a million years.Xhastexo, good to see the monsters still get out every now and then 🙂Dyson. one for his boys.CoLor and Tekonta Secta, not new, but I’d not got up close before and it probably won’t be there much longer.Very fond of this little chap, no idea who made him.Taken me years to get to this place, it’s old and well battered, but I though it was ace. Riseone and Wolf can be seen amongst others.Olds, samurai master?Skint, pastel foxyness or foxy pastelness. Mila K, From My Cold Dead Paws Pt2,at the end of the rainbow, literally.Brayk with a very dark character.Kaze, not seen this fellow in a while, glad to see he’s still on it!
Looking forward to bit of decent weather, it’s always better for painting!
Got to practice my mountaineering skills to view this wonderful creation by Foundry.Found this little lady by Coloquix hiding out in pigeon land too.And this death defying, but only just, piece by Brisk was near the summit.Reverse graffiti at it’s very best, I do love it when a cover up only reinforces what it’s meant to cover up!YMYD, very busy body at the moment, still not sure whether it’s Gun House or Bun House… but I’d choose death by bun any day 🙂 Rise One quality.Dyson, feeling the rainbow, well most of it.The Funky Mind Benders, in your face! 🙂JD really love this style.‘Your brain is a terrible thing to waste’ – Cantastic Art.Lollipops, interesting collab between C3 and D7606.Haven’t seen this little fellow about for a while, Xhastexo.Peachzz and Teddy BN7, cracking piece in a great location.Tulip by Dala, sometimes something so simple can look so effective.Kent has been the target of a dogging campaign recently, at least this one is untouched. Not a new one I think, but only just spotted this little Eug.Spotted this too, don’t know who it’s by though. As some of you will know, work has begun on the former Gatecrasher site, hopefully we won’t lose the boards just yet.
Well my internet’s still buggered, should be back to normal soon. Good job the weather’s been so lousy I haven’t been out much.
Oh and just in case you were wondering, I have it on good authority that Felm is the correct pronunciation of Phlegm… so now you know! 😉
I read an interview with D7606 on New Urban Eras website, now there’s a guy who travels the country photographing graffiti, pasting his quirky telephone boxes on the way, and where’s his favourite spot? Sheffield! Hardly surprising really.
I’m guessing the paste up is another of the new batch in the city, all good.Rocket01s’ tribute piece to Neil Armstrong has been widely covered so I thought I’d post a close up, the facial features are amazing.Riseone and (insert name here), got a green thing going on here, I like. Meth, love this and the new big one I haven’t seen in the flesh is brilliant.I don’t know, made me smile though. 🙂This is just beautiful, I think it’s a real work of art, Foundry has excelled himself with this lovely lady. Solo, really like the colours and fill with this.Coloquixs’ lucious lady, gets about she does…Alex Ekins has been at it again, paste up Sherpas this time. Lovely tribute.
Perhaps I’m aiming too low with Yorkshires’ top spot, perhaps we’re the top spot in the UK, well nearly 🙂
Don’t know the name of this artist, but I know he’s got a beard, if that helps…Brisk, appropriate name, he’s all over the place at the moment, very brisk indeed. Health and Safety advice, ‘Try not to face plant’ !The legend that is Form been back around these parts recently.Enoesir or Riseone if you prefer.Rocket01, back with a bang, really good to see that he reclaimed this spot too after his previous piece was unceremoniously destroyed with a chainsaw.Bob with his little red devil, don’t know if the other character has a name.Trik9 and Meth got the moody blues in town, love it.C3 /D7606 pasteup collaboration in a rather random place.Evo and Mars H2i, BS production, strong with the force these ones are.Anyone who didn’t make it to the Mardy Arts Exhibition at Stripping The Willow, here is a taster of what you missed. the above wall was painted by Booms and CoLor especially for the event.
CoLor Art put together a stunning collection, but the characterised gas bottles were my favourite. ( And it is my birthday soon, hint hint. 😉 ) Faunagraphic had these gorgeous canvases in the exhibition, and they looked much more beautiful in the flesh rather than in this pic. It was a great little event and hopefully there will be more to come. Nice to see local artists showing their work in this way. I’m gutted that I didn’t make it down to Phlegms exhibition in London, finger crossed I make it to the next one.
Sorry for the gap between posts, been caught up in the festive spirit (blatant lie!) Anyway let’s get back on track. I do like stickers and slaps, nice to see a Tom Newell one.CoLor and Narke and an attack of the munchies I think.Cantastic Art, becoming an increasingly regular visitor to Sheffield, I like this much. This gorgeous lion is part of an amazing looking mural on the Hallam Uni Students Union building , painted by graphic design graduate Sachin Limbachia, can’t wait to see it without the scaffolding around it.Gzos and Jaer, laying claim and brightening more of the bored boards in our city.Slugger, much more than that I don’t know, quirky characters though 🙂 Heard this character was being retired, a pity if it’s true, he’s one of my favourites, by Riseone. And finally, the last in the series….Bunny! this one is by Alex Ekins
