Wakefield Part Trois

Third and final trip, probably, to Wakefield and the last ‘Revive’ Jam of the year, and what a turnout! Kem Mef paid a visit and did a cracking piece that I managed to not get a single decent shot of.

CoLor Art  dropped a cool Chopper Harris character.

 

Cantastic, did something a little different to anything I’ve seen him do before, really like the elephants.

 

Spel and Beyond flew over, dropped an awesome piece and even had time to pimp a car!

 

Was really impressed that one of the organisers had been able to persuade Kelzo to come over too, I hadn’t seen him in action before, great to see.

There was much more full wall, as in floor to ceiling coverage than at previous Jams, they look amazing, well done to the guys working off ladders, it can’t have been easy.

 

Alfreshco were on hand to supply paint as needed and there guy Kak did this stunning wall too.

 

UKS came prepared, no balancing on ladders for them.

Sheffield was once again well represented, Ryak Lone and Kode on the case.

Adopted yorkshireman Shoe collaborated with Mace, Pawski and Foundry to produce this jaw dropping wall with characters Clay, Aisha and Cougar from the graphic novel and movie, The Losers.

Mars and Evo were there as well, bang on as always.

The completed wall from UKS, apologies for the pic, not the best joined image, but their production is fantastic.

Another full wall, love it!

Kink Dhfam did the bottom eye and mind boggling piece, and another artist from the northeast did the piece above.

Pryme, Inca, Spymad and Hull Graffiti, absolutely bonkers mental and fabulous!

By far the coolest customer that I met on the day, Ruby. She ran the burger van in between playing ball and refereeing in local disputes, an absolute star.

Apologies to any artist painting that aren’t featured, once again just too much good stuff, not that I’m complaining…

Sadly though I have to report a number of the large pieces had been dogged within days, jealousy makes children of some people it would seem…. but lots of photos were taken on the day by lots of photographers, so the images will remain in all their glory on line at least.

 

 

Revive – Wakefield Jam 2

Ended up a here a day late due to a family wedding, congratulations Joe and Lissy!

It was a beautiful day, I’d got a train ticket and a hangover from hell, what better way to recover from it than to go and see what I’d missed!

Again there had been a great turn out and the standard was amazing. Sheffield was very well represented with at least 8 painting and plenty of local supporters too.

I have to apologise that the quality of the pics is a bit below what I’m happy with, I blame the champagne. Why I haven’t got a full shot of this collaboration I do not know

Pryme and Rota One TPN, brain meltingly good.

Hull Graffiti, love it.

Kink, the last to finish on the day and still not happy with it, I think it’s ace.

I remember Isker and the guy above from the last jam, hope we get to catch up next time.

Pawski, Mace and Duse, WSK produced this awesome piece, probably the best on the day.

Spel and Beyond from Den Haag had come over from Holland to take part in the Jam. It was great to meet them and see them in action the next day with Martin, who organises these events. I hope they come over for the next one too.

The next one is in August, I apologise in advance to anyone who may be getting married or having any other such event and want me to be there. I won’t be. I’m not missing this again!

First Jam of the Year- Horbury Jct!

It was a beautiful morning day when I set off with Duse and Pawski to spend the day in a tunnel under the M1. The fellow pictured above, Martin Hayhurst, has managed to get this place made a legal spot following a lengthy battle with the local council. And the artists turned up from all over.

It was a really good day. There was a lot of local interest and a really good vibe about the place.

I apologise in advance for not knowing who most of the artists were. Despite being generally quite gobby, I’m not very good at asking people who they are…

 

The standard was excellent with many wonderful pieces.

 

Duse and Pawski were so busy they ended up on this picture twice!

 

There was supposed to be a theme to the works of cycling or riding, but not everyone felt the need to comply.

 

 

I did take hundreds of photos, no really I did!

MTH crew were on the left and TPN on the right. I couldn’t believe I’d watched the amazing Replete at work and didn’t even know. Other artists included; Suel, Si2 Hull Graffiti, Arson, Isker, Ample Aerosolicz, Pirat and many more.

It was nearly 9pm before I got home, I was frozen, absolutely exhausted and somewhat intoxicated from various substances in the air…….. Wouldn’t have it any other way, can’t wait till the next one!
